Where it drifts

The GitHub integration works when the commit message names the ticket. It doesn't when someone says "the auth work landed" in standup, or "we're blocked on the schema" in Slack, or "let's push the release" on a call. Jira hears the commits and nothing else. Everything decided in conversation waits for someone to open the ticket. In a fast team, that's most of what's decided.
